See your hours

In the app, Time history shows each week's entries, the time you worked and whether a manager approved the week. On the web, you see this week only.

Your hours are in the Shift Amp app, on the Time history screen: each week's entries, the time you worked, and whether a manager has approved the week. On the web, the Time clock page shows this week's entries only.

In the app

  1. Select the Today tab (the house icon), then select Time clock.
  2. Select View time history.
  3. Read the week at the top: the time worked, your breaks, the number of entries, and whether the week is approved.
  4. To see another week, select Previous or Next. To come back, select This week.
  5. To see an entry's punches and breaks, select the entry.

The approval line reads "Approved by a manager", "Reopened for corrections" or "Not approved yet". You also get a notification when a manager approves your week (Timecard approved) or reopens it (Timecard reopened).

An entry can carry labels:

  • "Open session": you're still clocked in. Its time counts once you clock out.
  • "Unscheduled": it isn't linked to a shift on the schedule.
  • "Recorded offline": a punch was saved on your phone and synced later.
  • "Excluded from totals": a manager left it out of your totals. It still shows here.
  • "Awaiting manager review": a manager will check it. A flag describes the record, not you.

On the web

  1. In the left menu, select Time clock.
  2. Scroll down past the clock to this week's entries.

You see your total for the week and a row for each entry: date, location, position, clock-in and clock-out times, and time worked. The web doesn't show earlier weeks or whether the week is approved, so use the app for those.

What the numbers mean

  • An entry's total runs from clock-in to clock-out. Its worked time counts or subtracts breaks, depending on how your workplace counts them.
  • An entry that's still open isn't in the week's total yet.
  • These are your punches, not your pay. Shift Amp doesn't calculate pay, and your manager reviews and approves each week.

If something looks wrong, see Report a problem with a time entry.
