Rate a shift

For staffUpdated 2 min read

Within 14 days of clocking out, rate how a shift went from 1 to 5 in your time history. Your name isn't attached, and rating is always optional.

After you clock out of a shift, you can tell your manager how it went with a rating from 1 to 5 and, if you like, a comment. Rating is always optional, and you have 14 days after clocking out to do it. Your name isn't attached to your rating.

Rate a shift

  1. On the Today tab (the house icon), select Time clock.
  2. Select View time history.
  3. At the bottom of the list, select Rate a shift. The shifts you can still rate are listed, with their dates, times and hours worked.
  4. Find the shift and select the button with its date, such as Rate Tue, Oct 6, 2026.
  5. Choose a rating, from 1 Bad to 5 Great.
  6. If you like, add a comment in Anything you want to add (optional).
  7. Select Send rating.

A message confirms that your rating is saved, and the shift leaves the list. To close the form without rating, select Not now instead.

You can also rate a shift from its entry in your time history: select the entry, then select Rate this shift.

Who sees your rating

Your manager sees your rating and your comment, without your name. Someone who knows who worked that day can often work out who wrote it, though, so write only what you'd be comfortable saying.

You rate the shift, not the people on it. Nothing in the app reminds you to rate, and skipping a shift isn't recorded anywhere.

If a shift isn't listed

  • You haven't clocked out of it yet. A shift appears once you've clocked out.
  • More than 14 days have passed since you clocked out.
  • You've already rated it.

If you select Rate this shift on an entry and the app says "That shift isn’t open", the shift has been rated already or is more than 14 days past clock-out. Nothing is missing either way.
