Update your profile and photo

Your profile is under Settings in the app. On Your record you can change your preferred name, phone number and time zone, and see the details your manager keeps. On Your photo you can add or change the picture your team sees.

Change your name or phone number

1. Select the More tab (three dots), then Settings.
2. Select Your record.
3. In Preferred name, enter the name you go by at work, if it's different from your first name. Your team sees this name. The name on your record doesn't change.
4. In Phone, enter the number a manager can reach you on about a shift.
5. Select Save.

"Saved" appears when your changes are stored. Shift Amp never shows your phone number to your coworkers.

Choose your time zone

On Your record, find the time zone choices and select one. The first choice, such as Same as Downtown, follows your home location's time zone. The others are the time zones of the locations you work at. Your choice saves straight away.

It never changes your shifts: every shift is shown in the time zone of its own location. To choose the clock the app's own times are written in, such as when a message arrived, see Change how Shift Amp looks for you.

See what your manager sets

Lower down, Your record shows details only a manager can change: Name on your record, Email and Started, plus Most hours a week and Hours you are aiming for if your manager set them. To change any of these, ask your manager.

Settings also lists the locations and positions you work. Only your manager can change those too.

Add or change your photo

1. Select the More tab, then Settings, then Your photo.
2. Select Take a photo to use the camera, or Choose from photos. If you already have a photo, these read Take a new photo and Choose a different photo.
3. If your phone asks, allow Shift Amp to use the camera or your photos. If you said no before, the app tells you to turn access on in your phone's settings.
4. Adjust the square crop, then confirm.

"Photo saved." appears. Select Done to go back.

Everyone at your workplace can see your photo, including your managers and coworkers. Nobody outside it can. A photo is optional: without one, your team sees your initials. To delete yours, select Remove photo. It's removed straight away, without asking you to confirm.
